I have found that this plant does not stay consistently red. Several white blooms have popped up. Not necessarily bad, but certainly bought these to be red.

Zone 9 Superbena red was in the middle of my border twining through the truffula pink gomphrena last year. It decided to creep to the front. Looks nice with the yellow Gerbera Daisy. It is perennial here and holds up in our excessively hot summers. I don't have to spray for bud worms or cut it back like the petunias. Next I plan to pair it with coral red Suberbena for an electric look.

Amazed by the performance of this plant in Denver’s heat and all day full sun. Bloomed all summer and fall, spread to carpet the ground beneath perennials and never needed deadheading. I will be repeating this next year.
